2019-20 SAC Athletic Moments of the Year: Football 

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana College Athletics had a big year with many teams and student-athletes finding great success. We'll use this series to go back and celebrate some of the best moments and accomplishments we saw throughout the year.  

Top Football Moments of the Year 

  1. 55-52 Overtime win against Antelope Valley 

In its 2019 home opener, the Santa Ana Football team pulled out a thrilling 55-52 overtime win as sophomore receiver Josh Rice caught the game winning touchdown pass from quarterback Luke Wilson to give the Dons their first win of the season. Full Recap Photos Video

 

  1. Luke Wilson and Indiana Taylor Named Players of the Week 

Following the win against Antelope Valley, Luke Wilson and Indiana Taylor were named players of the week by the Southern California Football Association (SCFA). Wilson took Offensive Player of the Week after throwing five touchdowns with 568 yards while Taylor was named Special Teams Player of the Week for taking the first kickoff of the game to the house to get Santa Ana off to a fast start. Full Recap 

  

 

  1. Santa Ana Football Finishes 2019 With Three Consecutive Wins 

The Dons overpowered LA Valley 55-21 in its last game of the season to finish season on a three-game winning streak. Santa Ana outscored their last three opponents 174-75 on the way to a third place in the American Metro League standings.
