Dave Ogas was the head football coach at Santa Ana College for 20 seasons while also serving as an assistant coach for another 17 seasons. After serving as the offensive line coach for the Dons from 1976-1981, Ogas took over the helm as head coach for the 1982 season.

During his 20 seasons as head coach, Ogas won three Mission Conference championships in 1994, 1997 and 1999 while posting a 104-100-2 overall record. Ogas ranks second all-time at Santa Ana College for year’s coached (20),  wins (104) and conference championships (3).

He was named the Mission Conference Coach of the Year in 1988 and 1994 and was also named the 1989 National Football Foundation (Orange County chapter) Coach of the Year. The Orange County Register named Ogas the Community College Football Coach of the Year in 1988 and in 1994 he was named the California Community College Football Coaches Association Region IV Coach of the Year.

After stepping down as head coach following the 2001 season, Ogas remained on staff as an assistant coach until the 2013 season.
