SANTA ANA - On Saturday, October 3, the Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame inducted the Centennial Class, named for the college's 100th anniversary, consisting of William Delaney (cross country, track & field), Dave Ogas (coach, football), Don Sneddon (coach, baseball), Eddie Steward (football and track & field) and C.J. Wilson (baseball). It was the 11th class inducted into the Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Once again led by SAC alum and Hall of Famer Ed Arnold, the ceremony took place in the center of campus near the fountain. With friends, family, colleagues, current SAC coaches and administrators, and former student-athletes in attendance, each of the five inductees addressed the audience and spoke of their time at SAC.

Along with adding the five newest members, a milestone was reached for the Athletic Hall of Fame as the Delaney brothers now represent the first set of brothers inducted. William joined his brother Bob, who was inducted in 2007. Another pair was represented in this year's induction class as former baseball coach Don Sneddon was joined by a former player of his, C.J. Wilson.

The Santa Ana College Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to celebrate, recognize and honor the accomplishments of individuals who have made significant contributions as a student-athlete, coach or friend to the rich tradition of the Santa Ana College athletic program.

In order to be eligible for induction, all athletes must have last competed at least five years prior to induction and coaches must have not coached for at least two years.

The Hall of Fame is an affiliate organization of the Santa Ana College Foundation and is dedicated to preserving the college's athletic history while providing new opportunities to transferring student-athletes through scholarships.
