HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Santa Ana's top pair Mikelle Taylor and Viridiana Serrano played their way to the Orange Empire Conference Pairs Championship match on Friday afternoon. The pair battled against the top Golden West competitors, falling 2-1 to take second place in the tournament.
The Don duo is now 14-2 on the season with both losses coming against the same Golden West pair.
Santa Ana's fours, Destinee Blue and Hannah DeGrasse, defeated a pair from Fullerton before falling in the second round to the Orange Coast's best pair. The rest of the Don competitors were eliminated in the first round of the tournament.
On Friday, May 4th Taylor and Serrano will represent the Orange Empire Conference as the number two pair in the CCCAA Regionals held at Irvine Valley College.
