SARATOGA, Calif. – After qualifying for the 2018 CCCAA Beach Pairs State Championships, Viridiana Serrano and Mikelle Taylor traveled to West Valley College to compete against the top 32 pairs in the state.
Serrano and Taylor were seeded 16th and placed in pool number three against pairs form Long Beach City, Palomar and Cabrillo. The Dons battled but went 0-3 to end their season in the round of 32.
It was a great season for the pair, starting out 14-0 and being ranked No. 1 by collegebeach vb.com for most of the season. The two sophomores have left a great foundation for Santa Ana volleyball and will bow transfer on to the four year level.
