Cachu’s Strong Start Gives Dons 7-2 Victory Over Chargers

 

CYPRESS, Calif. –  In game two of Santa Ana's series against the No. 7 ranked Cypress Chargers, Nathan Cachu put together a strong outing for his first win of the season and the Dons second win in a row.

Cachu went six and a third innings, striking out two and allowing two earned runs before exiting. Cole Hoskins collected his fourth save of the season, going two and a third shutout innings to once again close the door on the Chargers.

At the plate, Juan Gonzalez and Andrew Martinez did most of the damage for the Dons as the two combined for seven hits and three runs batted in on the day.

The Dons a have fought back to .500 overall with a record of 12-12, 2-6 while the Chargers drop to 16-8, 3-5.

Santa Ana will go for the series sweep on Friday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie West Field.
