SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana Baseball team had four players earn 2018 Orange Empire All-Conference honors after placing fifth in the standings with a record of 22-18, 10-11.
Andrew Martinez, Bryan Leef and Nathan Flores were placed on the OEC All-Conference First team and Juan Gonzalez was recognized on the second team.
Martinez was one of two catchers to make the first team after hitting a team high batting average of .347 with 30 runs batted in and two home runs.
Sophomore outfielder Bryan Leef made the first team for the second time in his Santa Ana career. He led the conference in home runs with seven and was third in RBI's at 37.
Fellow outfielder, Nathan Flores ran away with the first team selection for the utility spot. Flores hit .278 with 35 RBI's, four home runs while adding two wins and 35 strikeouts on the mound.
Lastly, SAC's third baseman Juan Gonzalez finished with a .342 batting average, 28 RBI's and a homer to land on the OEC second team.
