Dons Baseball Grabs No. 9 Seed, Play at Mt. SAC for CCCAA SoCal Regionals

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana baseball team finished the regular season with a 24-15 overall record while going 12-9 in Orange Empire Conference play to take third place. On Saturday, the team was seeded No. 9 in the SoCal region, setting them up with a CCCAA regional matchup with No. 8 Mt. SAC on May 3-4.

ABOUT THE MATCH-UP

In an early season two game series, the Dons took the first game with a 6-0 shutout behind an 8.1 inning, 10 strikeout from starting pitcher Josh Haley. Mt. San Antonio responded with a 7-4 victory in game two by capitalizing on three errors from the Dons defense.

The Mounties finished the regular season with a 22-17, 14-8 record, earning their second consecutive South Coast Conference North Division championship.

ADMISSION

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for students (with valid ID), staff/faculty, senior citizens (60+) and children under 12 years of age. Only CCCAA-approved passes will be honored.

GAME TIME

First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Game three will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday if needed.
