Dons Struggle at Home with Loss to Citrus

SANTA ANA- The visiting Owls came out strong in first quarter to command the lead over the Dons.

In the first quarter, Citrus scored the first two touchdowns to start off the game. Then in the last four minutes of the quarter, freshman Deven Boston ran into the end zone for the Dons first touchdown to seal the first quarter at 14-7.

Citrus then scored the first touchdown of the second quarter, but William Hanley answered back with a 65 yard return off the kickoff for the Dons second touchdown.

The Owls led the rest of the game with four more touchdowns. In the fourth quarter, the Dons held off the Owls defensively and scored the last touchdown to end the game with the second loss of the season at 49-21.

Dons football will play again on Saturday, Sept 17 at Victory Valley at 6:00 p.m
