Four Dons Named All-State While Jackson Jr. Becomes an All-American

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Devon Jackson Jr. played his way onto the 2017 California Community College Football Coaches Association All-American team with a remarkable performance in his sophomore season with Santa Ana College.

The wide receiver from Lindbergh, Washington was one of the top receivers in the state of California and recorded a stat line of 1,270 yards, 14 touchdowns and 67 receptions during the 2017 season.

Don's quarterback Conner Miller and running back Deven Boston also picked up awards, as they were both named to the CCCFCA Region IV All-California First Team Offense alongside Jackson Jr. In addition, Miller was honored as the Offensive Player of the Year in the region after nabbing the same award in the American Metro League. Miller threw for 2,952 yards with 28 touchdowns while Boston ran for 17 touchdowns to go along with 1,243 yards for the Dons in 2017.

On the opposite side of the ball, Brandon Legendre was the lone Don to make the CCCFCA Region IV All-California First Team Defense list. Legendre solidified himself as one the state's top pass rushers after racking up 13 total sacks, which tied him for second in the state.

The individual accomplishments add to the outstanding 2017 season for Dons Football as they went 7-4 overall, earning their first bowl game nod since 2012.
