
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Zamir Richardson was named the American Metro League Defensive Most Valuable Player and was voted onto the All-American and Regional IV All-California First Teams.
The defensive end posted 13 sacks, which was second in the state, to go with 36 tackles, four forced fumbles and an interception.

Teammates Blaze Iglesias, Cole Miller, Alijah Sadler, Aaron Hotchkiss and Malachi Pierce were also named to the Regional IV All-California First team while the Dons saw 20 players make it onto All-American Metro League teams.
Santa Ana College Football finished the 2023 season with a record of 9-2 overall after defeating College of the Desert by a score of 56-48 in the Southern California Bowl on Sunday, November 19th.
The Dons posted the most wins as a program since 2010 and won their first bowl game since defeating College of the Canyons 24-21 in the Southern California Bowl in 2012.
