Dons Shutout Glendale College 5-0

SANTA ANA- Men's soccer scored their second win of the season at home against Glendale College at 5-0. Goalkeeper freshman Sergio Candelas received his second shutout of the 2016 season.

In the first half of the second home game for men's soccer, the Dons took control over the Vaqueros offensively. In the 10th minute of the game, freshman Leonardo Oliveira took the lead for Santa Ana College and scored the first goal of the match. Oliveira was assisted by freshman Matheus Cuhna.  In the 18th min, the Dons struck again with a goal by freshman Oscar Navarro to hold on to the lead in the first half.

In the second half of the game, the Dons stayed strong and scored three more goals. Navarro scored his second goal of the match in the 45th minute. Freshman Christian Gutierrez scored his first goal and was assisted by freshman Daniel Castro. With 10 minutes left in the match, Emilio Luegas scored to seal the win at 5-0 for the Dons. 

Men's soccer will play again on Friday, Sept. 9 against El Camino at Santa Ana College at 1:00 p.m.
