SAC Men’s Soccer Collects First Win With 2-0 Shutout Over ELAC

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana College Men's Soccer began the 2022 season with a 2-0 shutout win over the East LA Huskies on Friday afternoon.

The Dons were dominant all match as they possessed the ball throughout and held a significant advantage in shot attempts at 20-2.

Daniel Tolmasoff put Santa Ana on the board in the first half when he headed a ball in off a corner kick in the 15 minute. Josue Martinez was credited with the assist after flicking a pass over his own head into the box in the perfect spot.

Although the Dons seemed in control they struggled to put away several opportunities early on which led to a 1-0 score at the half.

East LA weathered the storm in the second half as the shot attempts by SAC were limited to just five. But in the 76th minute, Jordan Bueno put the game away with an easy goal on a setup by Vincent Gomez.

With their first win of the season in hand, the Dons will return to the field on Tuesday, August 30th to host Cuyamaca College at 4:00 p.m.
