SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Dons Men's Soccer team had its chances to put the Cuyamaca Coyotes (0-0-2) away throughout the game on Tuesday afternoon. But SAC gave up too many opportunities which led to a 2-2 tie at the end of the match.
Santa Ana looked as if they were ready to dominate the match as they scored just under two minutes into the game on a header from freshman defender Elijah Lozano that was assisted by fellow freshman Daniel Tolmasoff.
At the 30 minute mark, the Coyotes responded with a goal of their own to even the score at 1-1.
But just three minutes later, the Dons struck again after drawing a foul right outside of the box. Freshman midfielder Isaac Pineda took the shot and curved a ball into the top right corner of the goal to give SAC a 2-1 lead.

The two teams continued to battle for 40 more minutes but neither could pull away, resulting in the 2-2 tie.
