Dons Finish with a Pair of Wins at Saddleback Tournament

The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's water polo team split its four matches over the weekend at the Saddleback College. The Dons, who also split four matches at the Miramar Tournament last week, are now 4-6 on the season.

The Dons opened with an 11-9 loss to Merced College despite leading 6-4 at the half. Merced rallied in the third quarter, outscoring the Dons 3-1 to tie the match at 7-7, before taking the match with a 5-2 fourth quarter.

The Dons bounced back in their second game of the tournament with a 7-5 win over Santa Monica College behind a three-goal performance by Adrian Haro.

SAC continued to roll going into the second day of the tournament, picking up a 17-11 win over Los Angeles Trade Tech. The win over Trade Tech is the second on the season for the Dons after their 11-8 win in the Miramar Tournament.

Duncan Wilson led the charge in the latest matchup between the two schools with seven goals for the Dons. Conrad Spargur chipped in four goals while Haro scored three times.

The Dons short winning streak was snapped in their final game of the tournament following their 11-6 loss to El Camino College.
