SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Softball team celebrated its sophomores Kali Kitsinis and Priscilla De La Torre before its game against Golden West College on Monday afternoon. Santa Ana cruised a 9-0 win in just five innings to send their sophomores off in style.
Kali Kitsinis earned her 10th win of the season, going the full five innings and giving up the only two hits of the game with just one out to go.
The Dons made a statement right from the start with all nine of their runs coming in the first inning. SAC capitalized on 8 hits and two errors in the inning to set the tone.
With the win, the Dons remain in second place in the Orange Empire Conference at a record of 22-15, 14-6. Next up, they'll travel to Saddleback College for their last regular season game on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
