Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

John Ramirez begins his third season as volunteer assistant softball coach with Don’s softball program, serving as platooning first-base coach, working with outfielders and recruiting.  

Ramirez brings 13 years of high school coaching experience, including 4 years (2012-2016) at Santa Ana (CA) High School, and 9 years (2002-2011) at Bloomington (CA) High School.  BHS reached playoffs 7 of 9 years, as well as entering the 2nd Round of CIF Playoffs in 2006, and posting an overall record of 135-97.

Ramirez is a 1995 Bloomington (CA) High School graduate and earned All-Sunkist League Honorable Mention as a starting pitcher.

He began his college playing career at San Bernardino Valley College in 1995 and transferred to Chaffey College in Spring 1997. In 1999 he attended Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he pitched and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (2002). He went on to earn a Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific in 2006.

Ramirez resides in Orange County with his beautiful wife Gina and their two beautiful daughters, Jordan Corrine and Micaela Rose.
