Dons Compete in the 2017 Bryan Clay Invite

AZUSA, Calif. – In its last meet before the Orange Empire Conference Preliminaries, the Santa Ana College Track and Field team competed in the Bryan Clay Invitational held at Azusa Pacific University.

The event started with the long-distance events in the first day, followed by sprinting events in the second.

Day 1

5,000 Meter Event

Toni Lopez -  Was in the top four for most of the race but placed ninth in the sixth heat with a time 18:13.75.  

Lizbeth Luciano-Luis – Finished 21st in the seventh heat with a time of 19:20.30.  

Jeremiah Gill – The freshman came in 20th place in the eighth heat with a time of 16:38.55.

Manuel Arjon – Placed 28th in the eighth heat, coming in at 17:30.27.

Eric Jimenez – Took fourth place in the seventh heat after coming in at 15:26.42.

Eduardo Guapilla – Came in at 15:46.64 to place sixteenth in the seventh heat.

Brian Ambrocio – Recorded a time of 16:36.40 to come in 32nd place.

Paulino Sanchez – Raced to a time of 15:11.30, good for 18th place in the fifth heat.

Day 2

100-Meter, 200-Meter and 400-Meter Events

Cydnee Wallace -  Came in at 12.83 in the 100-meter, and finished with a time of 26.50 in the 200-meter event.

Diana Giraldo – Clocked in at 1:07.08 in the 400-meter event.

Jason Oliver – Finished with a time of 11.57 in the 100-meter event and recorded a time of 23.60 in the 200-meter event.

Dejuan Spencer  – Posted a time of 12.89 in the 100-meter event.  

Jesus Munoz – Competed in the 400-meter event and finished at 1:01.27.

 

Next, the Dons will travel to Riverside College on Friday, Apr. 21st to compete in the Orange Empire Preliminaries.
