SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Track and Field / Cross-Country program will send three student-athletes to Missouri Valley College to continue their education and running careers.
Paulino Sanchez will join the twins, Lizeth Luciano-Luis and Lizbeth Luciano-Luis on the list of 2016-17 Don transfers.
Sanchez is coming off an All-American Track and Field performance where he placed third in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 32.31.05. He also finished sixth in the state for the 5,000-meter event with a time of 15:25.25.
Lizbeth finished her season in the Track and Field CCCAA Socal Prelims, placing 15th with a time of 19:05.78. Prior to that, she took fifth place in the 5,000-meter event in the Orange Empire Conference Championships, coming in at a time of 19:35.12.
Lizeth capped off her season with a seventh-place finish in the 5,000-meter event at the Orange Empire Conference Championships with a time of 20:05.03, earning herself an alternate spot for the CCCAA Socal Prelims.
Missouri Valley College is a NAIA school that competes in the Heart of America Conference.
