SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Orange Empire Conference released its 2017-18 Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams on Saturday, February 17th.
Santa Ana was represented by Alexis Casillas and Cailey Vitug, as they were voted in by coaches around the conference.
Casillas took home first team honors after averaging 19.7 points and 12.5 rebounds with nine double-doubles in conference play. The sophomore forward from Beckman High led the Dons in both points and rebounds at 16 ppg and 12.5 rpg in her only season at SAC.
Vitug, a freshman guard out of Cerritos High, was tabbed to the second team in her first season with the Dons. She ranked second in the OEC with 5.8 assists per game during conference play while adding 6.4 points per game. The freshmen averaged 7.1 points and a team high 5.2 throughout the season.
The two standouts led Santa Ana to a fourth place finish in the OEC with a record of 12-14, 7-7.
