Women’s Soccer Ties the Lasers 3-3

SANTA ANA- Dons soccer tied the Irvine Valley College Lasers 3-3 in the Orange Empire Conference match.

In the first period, the women's soccer team came out with a bang. Sophomore Alejandra Peinado scored for Santa Ana College within the first six minutes of the game from a chip shot. Then freshman Lizbeth Gonzalez scored a header from a corner kick from freshman Margaret (Peggy) Zisk to finish the half in the lead 2-0.

During the second half, the Lasers scored the first two goals, but then sophomore Kacee Thoren scored for the Dons off a penalty shot from a foul in the goal box to take the lead for the Dons 3-2. The Lasers scored again to bring the score back up to a tie to end the game 3-3.

Women's soccer will play again on Nov. 4 at Orange Coast College at 7 p.m.
