SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Dons Women's Soccer team is ready for the 2018 season after coming off a 7-12-3 season and a seventh-place finish in the Orange Empire Conference standings.
Santa Ana had a great start to their 2017 season, going 5-1 out of the gate and taking down the Saddleback Gauchos for the first time in over five years.
Midway through conference play, the Dons found themselves slotted in the upper half of the conference but then hit a rough patch, sliding down the standings late. Although SAC played the competition tough, the Dons just could not hold on in some tight games as they dropped six games by one goal.
This year, Santa Ana hopes they can do a better job of finishing and possibly land a spot in the CCCAA Regional Playoffs.
The Don ladies will get things started with their home opener against Palomar College tomorrow (8/28) at 3:00 p.m.
