Wood Scores Again as Dons End in 1-1 Draw Versus Fullerton

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Leyna Wood scored her 18th goal of the season to put the Santa Ana women's soccer team in the driver's seat against the 10th ranked Fullerton Hornets on Friday afternoon.

The Dons would hold on to the 1-0 lead until Fullerton's Morgan Dack scored with under two minutes left in the match, giving both teams another tie on their season records.

Santa Ana now stands at a record of 7-7-2, 1-7-2 while the Hornets move to 10-3-3, 5-2-3.

After coming out sluggish and falling 5-1 in their first match against the Hornets, the Dons have to be relatively happy about the result on Friday. They proved they can match up with one of the top teams in the state as they controlled the tempo for the majority of the match.

SAC hopes to play at the same level when they take on another tough team on the road in No. 4 Cypress (14-0-2, 8-0-2) on Tuesday, November 5th at 3:00 p.m.
