SANTA ANA, Calif. – On Wednesday night, the Santa Ana College Volleyball team met up with the Cuyamaca College Coyotes for a non-conference matchup.
It was the second time the two teams have played this season, as Santa Ana picked up a 3-0 win in their first matchup during OCSD Quad.
History repeated itself, as the Dons swept the Coyotes again to improve to 7-5 overall this season.
Mikelle Taylor had another double-digit kill night, putting down 10 in the match to go along with 10 digs and an ace. Dianna Nguyen contributed with eight kills, seven digs and two aces.
On the defensive side, Kayla Long anchored the Dons with 11 digs to lead the team. She also recorded two aces and an assist.
With the win, the Dons snapped their three-game losing streak and will look to grab some momentum when they resume Orange Empire Conference play on Sept. 29th at Santiago Canyon College at 6:00 p.m.
