Dons Fall to Hornets in Three Sets

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana volleyball hosted the Fullerton Hornets in Wednesday's Orange Empire Conference match. The Dons came close to winning in two sets but just couldn't get over the hump in either, dropping the match 3-0 (25-20, 25-22,25-13).

Alexis Santos was the Dons most effective hitter on the night, collecting six kills on just 10 attempts while Hannah DeGrasse was the team leader in total kills with nine. Karissa Mumford and Stephanie Ozokwo chipped in, totaling 12 kills, 10 digs and two aces between the two.

The Dons fell to 2-14 overall and 1-8 in OEC play with the loss and the Hornets climbed to 10-5, 5-4.

GAME NOTES

With her six kills, Santos joins Ozokwo and DeGrasse to give Santa Ana three players over 100 kills on the season.

Santa Ana will get a bye on Friday and then stay at home to host Santiago Canyon College on Wednesday, October 24th at 5:00 p.m.
