FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. - Aldo Trujillo and Bryce Tanikawa have qualified for the 2021 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships after competing in the SoCal Championships at Mile Square Park on Friday afternoon.
Following one of his best races of the season, Trujillo placed 9th overall with another personal record at a time of 20:02.4.
Tanikawa also hit a PR in this one, clocking in at 22:17.0 to finish in 85th place to qualify for state.
As a team, the Dons finished 17th overall and just missed qualifying as the cut for state is top 15.
The two individuals will travel to Woodward Park in Fresno on Saturday, November 20th for the Championships.
