10 SAC Student-Athletes Receive Athletic Hall of Fame Scholarships

SANTA ANA, Calif. -  The Santa Ana Athletic Hall of Fame Executive Committee has announced its 2020 scholarship award winners. 10 SAC student-athletes were chosen and will be receiving $1,500 scholarships upon transfer. James Williams, Lauryn Wood and Leyna Wood were automatically included into the pool of recipients after they were named Student-Athletes of the Year.

All recipients held grade point averages above three point zero and have showed great character while representing Santa Ana Athletics.

Scholarship recipients who return to play at SAC during the 2020-2021 seasons due to restored eligibility or any other exception will have their scholarship monies held until they have transferred to a four-year institution.

In addition to the Athletic Hall of Fame scholarship, several more SAC student-athletes benefitted from the Lisa and Bruce Gelker and John Hanna scholarships. Eight individuals were chosen for the $1,000 Lisa and Bruce Gelker scholarship while two were picked for the John Hanna scholarship.
