Dave White played under Hall of Fame Head Coach Bob Boyd and was a key piece of the first conference championship team in Santa Ana College Men’s Basketball history back in 1959.
 
White helped guide the Dons to a 26-7 overall record and a second place finish in the state championships during his sophomore season.
He was the second leading scorer on that championship team with 401 points (12.2 ppg), which at the time, was the third most in school history. The scorer from
Huntington Beach High School finished his career as a Don with 798 total points.
 
Upon leaving Santa Ana, David began his career with the Kroger Food Company in the Market Basket Food Stores. He attended many prominent business schools including the Memphis, Arizona & Kroger school of business.
 
He later met his wife, Barbara Ann who was shopping in the 32nd Street Market Basket and since then have been married for 58 years. The happy couple have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and reside in the Southern California Desert.
