Vic Lindskog

Football, Class of 2007

Vic Lindskog played football for Santa Ana College Hall of Fame coach Bill Cook before moving on to Stanford and becoming the first "t-formation" center. In 1941, Lindskog was a member of the Stanford football team that defeated Nebraska in the Rose Bowl. 

Lindskog was a second-round draft pick in 1942 and played center and linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1944-51. During his career the Eagles won back-to-back NFL Championships in 1948-49. Those teams have been honored by the Eagles by being named to the Eagles Honor Roll. Lindskog finished his career with four interceptions for a total of 112 yards, including his longest interception return for 65 yards. 

Following his playing career, Lindskog coached in the NFL for the Eagles before becoming a coach with the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League. Lindskog also coached at Stanford before becoming an assistant coach for Bakersfield College team that won the Junior Rose Bowl. Lindskog coached for the Los Angeles Rams before becoming a scout for the Seattle Seahawks.

He ended his career as a scout for the San Francisco 49ers where he was awarded two Super Bowl rings.
