Garcia Scores Late to Lift Dons to 2-0 Win Against SBVC

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Gilberto Garcia took over in the final moments of Tuesday's match against San Bernardino Valley, scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes of play to give the Santa Ana men's soccer team a 2-0 victory.

In the 81st minute, Garcia put a header away off a corner kick from Marcelo Aguirre to break the 0-0 tie. About a minute later, Garcia scored again with the assist coming from Abel Bautista. The freshman Saddleback High now has three goals to start the 2019 season.

On the other end of the field, Santa Ana goalkeeper Frank Aguilar had a remarkable game as he came up with a couple huge saves in key moments of the game. Aguilar recorded another shutout while collecting four more saves.

The Dons ended the two game win streak for SBVC and brought their own record to 2-1 before facing LA Harbor at home on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
