SAC Softball Suffers First Loss of the Season, Falls to Ventura 1-0

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana Softball resumed their game against Ventura (7-3) that was halted in the fifth inning on the original date of February 4th. The Dons (9-1, 1-0) had a couple opportunities to tie the game with runners in scoring position in both the fifth and sixth innings but could not come up with timely hits, ending their unbeaten streak by falling 1-0.

Although Emily Rosas struck out 11 while allowing just three hits, she suffered her first loss of the season.

Offensively, the Dons produced six walks but couldn't capitalize as Sarah Casey accounted for the only hit of the game.

SAC is now 9-1, 1-0 overall and will continue the season their Orange Empire Conference schedule by hosting Riverside City (6-6) on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
