Dons Qualify Six Wrestlers to State Championships

The Santa Ana College (SAC) wrestling team will be represented by six wrestlers at the California Community College Athletic Association Wrestling State Championships held December 9-10 at Santa Rosa Junior College. The six wrestlers qualified at the Southern California Regional Championships where the Dons took sixth place as a team.

The Dons were led by individual champions Aaron Lopez at 165-pounds and Brian Klevies at 285-pounds. Following them was Aaron Dubois who took fourth place at 197-pounds.

The Dons also had a pair of wrestlers take fifth place with Brandon Brown finishing fifth at 133-pounds followed by Melvin Cabus at 157-pounds. Cory Flores qualified with a sixth place finish at 149-pounds.

The final representative for the Dons is Carlos Arana who challenged, and defeated, the sixth place finisher at 184-pounds after finishing seventh. Below is the list of how each team finished.
