Santa Ana Drops Match to No. 18 Golden West

 SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana women's soccer team was defeated by the No. 18 ranked Golden West Rustlers by a score of 3-1 in another Orange Empire Conference match.

Golden West quickly got on the board in the first period, scoring a goal just 30 seconds into the match.

Not long after, Santa Ana worked their way down the field and earned a corner to set themselves up for success. Lizbeth Gonzalez found Brianna Ceballos for a header to tie the match at 1-1.

The Dons played well throughout the rest of the half but Golden West managed to sneak one more goal by in the half and added on in the second to make it a 3-1 final score.

Santa Ana drops to 5-10-3, 3-9-2 while Golden West moves to 12-3-3, 9-2-2 with the win.

GAME NOTES

Ceballos has scored four goals in the last four games for the Dons, giving her 10 points for the season.
