The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's water polo team had an early lead quickly erased in its 14-3 loss to Fullerton College in the first Orange Empire Conference match of the season.
The Dons (0-5, 0-1) scored in the first minute of the game on a goal by Sabina Ochoa. However, Fullerton (4-1, 1-0) tied the match at 1-1 before the end of the first quarter.
The Hornets blanked the Dons in the second quarter, 3-0, to claim a 4-1 lead at the half before extended their lead to 10-2 after three. A 4-1 fourth quarter for Fullerton sealed the match at 14-3.
Ochoa scored a second goal for the Dons in the fourth quarter while Nikole Facklam notched a goal in the third quarter to round out the scoring for SAC.
