Dons Shutout Canyons 6-0 for Fourth Consecutive Win

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana College Baseball team won its fourth straight game as the Dons (8-4) shutout the College of the Canyons Cougars (6-4) 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon. 

Hauze Fragoso got the start and recorded his second win of the year with four strikeouts over five scoreless innings. The freshman right hander out of Warren High allowed just two hits in his sixth appearance of the year, dropping his ERA to 1.04. 

Noe Novella came out of the bullpen to strike out three in two innings of work. He was followed by David Celoski and Jaxton Andeel, who threw one scoreless inning each. 

The Dons had another solid day offensively, scoring six on eight hits. Centerfielder Eddie Pelc got things started with a home run to right in the bottom of the fourth. Later in the inning, Troy Kent added another run with a sacrifice fly to score Mario Tostado. Mikey Rocha then capped the inning with an RBI double to right center, scoring Austin Haller to make it a 3-0 game. 

Santa Ana would score three more times over the next three innings on errors and wild pitches by the Cougars. 

With the win, the Dons sweep the series against the Cougars and improve to 8-4 overall. 

SAC will be back in action on Wednesday as their game that was originally scheduled on Saturday against LA Valley has been moved up to 11:30 a.m.
