SANTA ANA, Calif. - The No. 1 ranked Santa Ana College Baseball team took game one of their three game series against the No. 5 ranked Long Beach City Vikings (21-5) by a score of 13-2 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

After a slow start, the Dons (22-4-1) started to get to the Viking starting pitcher and put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Christian Altamirano gave SAC the lead as he lined a single through the left side to score Michael Rocha and Jake Long. Thomas Williams followed that with a single to center field, scoring Abel Castrejon to make it a 3-0 game.

The Dons scored a couple more on a hard hit ball from Jimmy De Anda that was misplayed by the LBCC left fielder, which brought home Williams and Altamirano.

SAC continued to take on runs throughout the game while pitchers Brady Schrank, Hauze Fragoso and Spencer Johnsen held the Vikings to just two runs. The trio combined for 11 strikeouts while Fragoso picked up his second win of the season.

The series will continue on Wednesday with game two at Long Beach City College. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
