SANTA ANA - In almost a mirror image of Saturday's game, the #5 Dons defeated #12 Allan Hancock College 3-0 to complete the sweep and advance to the CCCAA Softball Southern Super Regionals.

For the second straight game, Lindsey Esparza and Frances Campoy combined to shut out the visiting Bulldogs, allowing just eight hits over the two games. Esparza (11-3) again pitched five innings, while limited Allan Hancock to just three hits. Campoy picked up her sixth save after pitching two perfect innings to end the game.

Offensively, the Dons pushed a run across in the third, sixth and seventh innings. Keila Tenorio drove in Paolena Comouche on a RBI-groundout in the third for the first run before scoring the second run in the sixth inning when Alyssa Yglesias reached on an error.

The Dons third and final run came across in the seventh inning with Natalie Wolf hitting a pinch-hit triple before scoring on Emily Whitecavage's RBI-single.

With the win, the Dons are advancing to the Super Regionals for the second time in three years. Next weekend's schedule will be posted when it is available.
