SAC Softball Bounces Back with 7-2 Win Over Golden West in Game 2

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana College Softball bounced back and took game two of their series against the Golden West Rustlers (8-6, 4-4) by a score of 7-2 on Thursday.

Julia Ariston was a huge contributor as the pitcher earned her second win of the season with a seven inning, two run performance.

The freshman out of Godinez High also hit a leadoff double to start the rally in the fourth inning. 

A few batters later, it was Haley Martinez who cleared the bases with a three RBI double to left center field. 

Mia Luna added an insurance run with a double down the right field line to put the Dons up 4-2 going into the fifth inning. 

Santa Ana continued to hold the Rustler offense while tacking on a few more runs thanks to RBI's from Vinnie Robles, Alyssa Armijo and Sonya Carnal

The Dons closed the door in the seventh to take the win, improving to 6-13, 2-6. 

On Friday, the teams will meet up once more for the series finale at Golden West College. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
