No. 7 Santa Ana Women's Volleyball to Host No. 10 Canyons in SoCal Regionals on Tuesday

SANTA ANA, Calif. - After finishing the regular season with an overall record of 18-5, 11-5, the Santa Ana Women's Volleyball team has been tabbed the No. 7 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) SoCal Regional Playoffs. 

The Dons will be hosting the No. 10 seeded College of the Canyons Cougars (18-8, 12-0) on Tuesday, November 22nd at 6:00 p.m. 

This season has been one of the most successful seasons in school history for Santa Ana Women's Volleyball. As a team, the Dons have broken the school record for wins at 18 while several individuals have shattered records in the categories of kills, kill percentage, service aces and assists. 

The Dons placed third in the Orange Empire Conference standings and have qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 1983. 

But continuing their historic season will be a tall task as they are set to face the Western State-South Conference Champions in Canyons. The Cougars went undefeated in conference play with a record of 12-0. Canyons also finished the regular season ranked No. 11 in RPI, just one spot lower than the Dons. 

The winner of the match will go on to face the winner of No. 15 Bakersfield/No. 18 El Camino vs No. 2 Irvine Valley on Saturday, November 26th.
