Trujillo Takes Fifth Overall, SAC Cross Country Places 8th in Golden West Classic

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - On Friday morning, the Santa Ana College Men's Cross Country team competed in the Golden West Classic at Central Park in Huntington Beach. The Dons placed eighth out of fourteen teams while racing in their first four mile event of the year. 

Santa Ana was paced by Aldo Trujillo once again as the freshman out of Anaheim hit a time of 21:36.0 to place fifth overall. 

The next Don across the finish line was Bryce Tanikawa, who finished 38th with a time of 23:06.0. 

Miguel Zarco stopped the clock at 24:57.1 for a 79th place finish while Diego Espinoza followed with a time of 25:26.3, good for 87th. 

Anchoring the team was Vincent Beltran as he placed 104th at a time of 27:30.9.

The Dons will continue their season on October 8th at the Vanguard Invitational at Mile Square Park. The first race is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
