SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Community College Athletic Association has named Jay Edwards as one of the recipients for its February Athlete of the Month awards.
Edwards was dominant in the month of February, recording four of Santa Ana's five wins. In 13 innings, he struck out 11 batters and posted an ERA of 1.38 for the Dons. He now has a record of 6-1 to go along with a team high 29 strikeouts and a 3.86 ERA.
The sophomore right hander out Villa Park High was also named the Santa Ana Male Student Athlete of the Month of February for his outstanding performance.
