No. 9 Santa Ana Drops Third Game of Season to No. 4 Cypress

SANTA ANA, Calif. – No. 9 Santa Ana women's soccer held possession for much of the first half against No. 4 Cypress in Friday's Orange Empire Conference contest. But fatigue and a few mental errors led to their third loss of the season as the Chargers pulled out a 3-0 win.

Right before halftime, the Chargers began to find some gaps in the Santa Ana defense as they scored the first goal of the day in the 43rd minute.

Santa Ana held the score at 1-0 for approximately 37 minutes before the Chargers added another goal to give them a little more separation. Cypress would score once more prior to full time, putting the match out of range for the Dons.

With the loss, the Dons fall to 7-3-0 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play while the Chargers stay unbeaten at 9-0-1, 3-0-1.
