Dons Fall 4-1, Set to Face Irvine Valley on Friday

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana College Women's Soccer team finished the first half of their Orange Empire Conference (OEC) schedule as they hosted the Fullerton Hornets (3-4, 5-8) on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dons (1-9-2, 1-6) were hoping to add one more win before round two of OEC play but fell to the Hornets, 4-1.

Fullerton built up a 3-0 lead by halftime with goals in the 17th, 21st and 38th minutes. SAC then made some adjustments, moving Wendy Millan up to play forward at the start of the second half.

The move was rewarded right away with Millan putting pressure on the Hornet defense and drawing a foul in the box. The sophomore from Estancia took the penalty shot and made it a 3-1 game.

Unfortunately for the Dons, Fullerton responded with their fourth goal of the day just about a minute later.

Santa Ana will now go on the road to face Irvine Valley (2-11-1, 0-7), who they defeated 3-1 on September 27th.
