Women Finish 17th, Men 25th, in Large Field at SoCal Preview

VAN NUYS - The 2014 season continued for the Dons cross country teams at the SoCal Previews with the women's team finishing 17th overall while the men's squad finished 25th. Overall, there were 26 scoring teams on the women's side and 29 scoring teams on the men's side.

For the second straight race, the women's team was led by Azahalea Vazquez who took 43rd overall while Jazmin Avila finished 49th in scoring. Elisa Mendez scored in 98th place while Yesenia Velez crossed the finish line in 123rd place. Xiomara Duenas rounded out the scorers in 164th place.

In the men's race, it was Rafael Godinez crossing the finish line first for the Dons in 74th place while Edward Chanon finished 116th. Adrian Delgado followed in 133rd with Pedro Antunez finishing 144th. Carlos Otiniano was the final scoring runner for SAC in 156th while Jorge Diaz (177th) and Alfonso Anguiano (193rd) also finished for the Dons.
