SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana Softball team had a chance to increase their lead over No. 7 Santiago Canyon in the Orange Empire Conference standings as they hosted the Hawks in a makeup game on Thursday.

After seven innings, the Dons failed to score a run, dropping the game to the Hawks by a score of 6-0.

Santa Ana had their opportunities throughout the game but left nine runners on base with eight total hits.

The Dons are now 20-13, 12-4 and still have a one game lead over the 25-7, 11-5 Santiago Canyon Hawks in the OEC Softball standings.

On Friday, Santa Ana will host their third straight OEC game against Fullerton College at 2:00 p.m.
