Taylor Ivicevic Signs With La Sierra

SANTA ANA, Calif. – With sophomore forward Taylor Ivicevic announcing her commitment to La Sierra University, the 2016-17 Santa Ana College Women's Basketball team has now sent three of its members to play at the next level.

Ivicevic was named to the All-Orange Empire Conference second team for the second consecutive season after averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 rebounds during her sophomore season. She also added 1.3 assists and led the Orange Empire Conference with a very efficient 55.2 percent from the field.

"We are so proud of Taylor and her decision to continue her career at La Sierra. Taylor has been a huge part of our success. In her freshman year, she played out of position but still helped lead us to the post-season, and then she transitioned back to her natural position this year, which was huge for our run to the second round of the post-season," Head Coach Flo Luppani said. "That is a testament to Taylor's consistency and her willingness to do whatever her team needs. She is a tremendous teammate and one of the hardest workers I've ever coached. She is going to have a big impact at La Sierra. "

La Sierra University is a NAIA Division II school that competes in the California Pacific Conference. The Golden Eagles finished 8-19 overall, and 4-10 in the conference last year.

Ivicevic joins Amy Talavou and Blaysen Varnadoe as Santa Ana College Women's Basketball four-year transfers so far.
