Following a pair of seasons on both the cross country and track & field teams at Santa Ana College, Susana Marquez has signed a national letter of intent to continue her academic and cross country careers at Point University in West Point, Georgia.

In her two seasons with the SAC cross country team, Marquez qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association Cross Country State Championships both seasons. As a freshman, she finished 35th out of 209 runners before finishing 61st as a sophomore out of 203 runners.

"Ever since I recruited her I saw a lot of potential," said SAC cross country head coach Miriam Mitzel. "I'm not surprised that she got a scholarship."

Marquez will be pursuing a degree in exercise science at Point University while competing for the cross country team.
