Santa Ana Men’s Cross Country Ranked 12th in State

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Men's Cross Country team has taken over as the number 12 ranked team in the state after an impressive performance in the SoCal Previews last Saturday.

The Santa Ana men finished 10th in the meet with a total time of 1:55:40 and a score of 338. The Dons were unranked going into the meet but showed that they can compete with some if the best in the state.  

Sophomore Eric Jimenez led the way for the Dons, finishing third overall with a time of 21:21.6 in the four-mile run. Eduardo Guapilla came in next, placing 82nd with a time of 23:05.3. Following him was Jeremiah Gil, who placed 135th, coming in at 23:47.7.

The Dons will try to make another leap in the state ranking when they travel to Morley Field in San Diego for the Coach Downey Classic on Friday, Sept. 29th.
