Joyce Lyman tossed six no-hitters, including two perfect games, and won 24 games in her one season at Santa Ana College in 1987. Lyman finished her SAC career with an earned run average of 0.44 and was selected the Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year and State Co-Pitcher of the Year. She was also the college's first All-America selection in softball. 

Lyman set single-season records in games pitched (33), innings pitched (222.1), starts (31), strikeouts (131) and fewest walks (16). She was the first pitcher in conference history to no-hit every conference opponent in a season through a regulation seven innings.
