Football, Class of 2006

Charlie "Chuck" Page was a halfback on the 1941 and 1942 football teams at Santa Ana College as well as the track and field and basketball teams. 

While playing for the Dons in 1942 he was on the receiving end of a Bill Gulley pass of 98 yards, which still stands as a Santa Ana College record. 

After leaving SAC, Page transferred to the University of Southern California (USC) with fellow 2006 SAC Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee Bruce Gelker. Page was a member of the 1942 national championship team at SAC and the 1944 USC team won the Pacific Coast League Championships and the Rose Bowl. Page was also a member of the track team at USC, competing in the discus and javelin throw. 

Page later attended the University of California , Los Angeles where he was a member of the football and track team, again competing in the discus throw. Page received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1948. 

Page also played football during his military career when he was a member of the Marine Corps Flying Marines football team at the El Toro Air Station in 1945. Altogether, Page served in the Marines from 1943 to 1946. 

Page went on to work in car sales and eventually owned his own dealership. He was also a member of several community and recreations service organizations including the Santa Ana Elks, Orange Rotary Club, Santa Ana College Alumni Athletic Group and was the founding president of the Orange County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. 

Page was married twice with three children and six grandchildren. He also had four stepchildren.
